Acceptable Use Policy

This policy describes what you may and may not do with the Atested product and the atested.com website. It supplements the Terms of Service.

Permitted use

You may use Atested for any lawful purpose, including governing AI agent operations, auditing tool calls, enforcing policy rules, and producing attestation records for compliance or operational visibility.

Prohibited use

You may not use Atested to:

  • Fabricate, falsify, or forge governance records. Atested records what happened. Using it to create records of things that did not happen defeats the purpose of the product and is prohibited.
  • Tamper with, modify, or selectively delete chain contents to misrepresent what an AI agent did or what policy decisions were made.
  • Facilitate fraud, deception, or misrepresentation to third parties, including presenting Atested records as evidence of compliance when the underlying operations do not comply.
  • Conduct attacks against third-party systems, including using Atested's infrastructure as part of denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized access attempts, or exploitation of vulnerabilities.
  • Reverse-engineer, disable, or circumvent Atested's own governance mechanisms for the purpose of evading policy enforcement or audit trail generation.
  • Violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, including export controls, sanctions, data protection laws, and intellectual property rights.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access to Atested if we determine that your use violates this policy. Where possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to correct the violation before taking action.
